A while back i wrote a small rant on how bloggers think they invented the internet - Now i'd like to add a little more ...
Frank Banarko at MarketWatch slams the "business blogging awards" - a farcical little PR stunt with no purpose other than to promote the organizers and arse kiss a few potential clients by the look of it.
Really, it doesn't look as if these guys could organize a piss up in brewery:
In one blog posting, Barefoot wrote, "We're dispensing with existing votes. They weren't remotely accurate." They also seemed to plead for entries. A dozen categories were too lean, Barefoot said. Then they had trouble tallying the votes. "We've been through nearly half a dozen tools since we launched (in addition to the 20 I pre-vetted before I went to Napa) and nothing's quite fit yet," Wright wrote.
