It appears has though Google has obtained deity status, at least in the eyes of Reverend Peter Olsen. Founder of the Universal Life Church, Olsen has created another online church called The Universal Church of Google.

The Universal Church of Google was designed as an online church located in Orkut, Google's online community, and is available by invite only. According to Pandia, Olsen says that Google can make the claim of being God-like because Google "is certainly all-knowing and it can provide immediate answers to nearly all of your questions, which is far more than can be said for many of the popular deities of today."

Olsen's goal is to increase member knowledge by encouraging members to use Google to ask questions. The only commandment of the church is members are asked to search Google once a week with a question they do not know the answer to.

Memberships to The Universal Church of Google are available by invite, or you can scour eBay and find memberships for sale.
