RocketInfo, a business information solutions provider, has re-launched its own news search site called RocketNews, complete with RSS service.

As first pointed out by ResearchBuzz, RocketInfo allows users to search the news in various ways. You can determine the category and location (continent based) of your search, or you can determine how far back you search, up to five days. Google and Yahoo allow you to query as far back as 30 days.

RocketInfo's engine searches a database with over 10000 news resources. They are also beginning to index RSS and Atom feeds to add to its searchable materials.

Indexing is not the only plans that RocketNews has for the RSS industry. According to ResearchBuzz, "RocketNews is also now making search results available as RSS feeds. That's Daypop, Feedster, RocketNews, Yahoo, and bunches of others that now offer some level of RSS feeds."

Design-wise, the site has a clean layout and is very user friendly. Time will tell if they will be able to stand the news search wars, but they do seem to have an effective offering.
